After a small reprieve following the birth of our second child, my husband went back to his job, working away from home, and chaos embarked on me like nothing I’d ever experienced.
For a self-confessed organisational geek who craved cleanliness and order, I was out of my depth. I remember hoping and dreaming an angel would appear who could bring organisation back into my life.
I’m Melissa Gray: founder, owner, and BrightBox Solutions’ heart and soul. Now, instead of succumbing to the chaos, you’ll find me busy organising, helping and creating for others.
15 years into an administrative career, where I still work part-time as a personal assistant, becoming a mum of two, and selling our house, building, selling again, building, selling and buying a house (never again!) I realised my to-do list was never-ending. No wonder I was always dreaming about that angel; an extra pair of hands and an extra few hours in my day!
After coming out of the fog of the newborn-with-a-toddler days, into some sort of mist (or maybe just accepting this beautiful chaos for what it is while they’re little), I realised that I could be that extra pair of hands (or that angel I longed for!) for others; professionals, stay at home parents, working parents, anyone that is time-poor, which is pretty much all of us!
With my love of helping others, my passion for being organised, and the satisfaction of completing to-do lists, BrightBox Solutions took shape. I know that I have the perfect job, organising homes! A lot of people probably dread this work, but its difference it makes to peoples' homes and family life is what I love! I get to walk away knowing order is restored, and, while life always gets messy, there are systems in place to return to.
On this blog, I hope to share tips, advice, inspiration, and hacks, as well as some joyful materials and products. I’ll be keeping it real, with some Instagram beauty. I hope you will join me!
